FIREWORK INSTRUCTIONS

Inside this package you will find a set of fireworks along with a sequencer box. The fireworks can be triggered manually by the owner clicking on them. The sequencer box can be setup to create a choreographed firework playlist. The playlist can be triggered by clicking on the sequencer box, or by setting up designated times for the display to trigger.

** Firework Settings **
Each firework has a notecard inside with a couple of settings...

CHANNEL - This is the communication channel the firework uses. This should match your sequencer box. If you have several different displays active in the same sim, make sure you change the fireworks and sequencer to be unique so that the sequencers do not trigger the wrong fireworks.

TRIGGERCOMMAND - This is the command the sequencer box uses to trigger that particular firework. This name can be unique, or you can give several, fireworks the same name if you wish them to trigger together.

[ FOUNTAIN FIREWORKS ONLY ]
ANGLE - On fountain type fireworks (roman candle & whirly fountain). The trajectory angle that the fireworks shoot out of the fountain ranges from zero (upwards) to this maximum angle sideways.

DURATION - In fountain type fireworks this value specifies the duration for which they will last before dieing out.

[ CATHERINE WHEEL ONLY ]

TIME - This does the same as duration, it specifies how long they firework will last before dieing out.

** SEQUENCER BOX SETUP **
The sequencer box allows you to setup a firework display that can be triggered at specific intervals, or manually by clicking on it.
There are TWO settings notecard inside...!performance_times & !playlist

*Set Up Your Display **
The first step is to setup your choreographed firework display. To do this configure the !playlist notecard as follows...

1. CHANNEL - This is the first setting in the notecard and should match the channel set in your fireworks. If you have multiple displays, make sure they have unique channels.

2. Your display list should be entered after the line [ PLAYLIST ]

Each line is treated as a separate event played one after the next.

On each line enter the trigger command for the firework you wish to trigger. You can configure this command in the fireworks own settings notecard.
( TIP: The name is visible in the fireworks description field if you need to look it up quickly while creating your display. )

3. You can add multiple fireworks to one line separated by a comma. This will cause them to play in quick succession. Please note this does NOT cause them to fire at exactly the same time due to the linear nature of the script functions and SL Lag. For a more reliable way of getting fireworks firing together give them the same trigger name.

4. If you wish to create a pause between events use the command PAUSE=[Time] where time is the time in seconds to wait. You might want to do this for example to wait until a fountain firework dies out.

5. You can test your display by clicking on the box.

** Set Up Your Timed Events **
Once your choreographed firework display is setup you can set it to trigger automatically at specific times. To do this edit the !performance_times notecard inside the sequencer box. The settings are as follows....

ACTIVE=[TRUE/FALSE]
- This setting configures whether the automatic display triggering is active

START_MESSAGE
- You can assign an optional chat message here to welcome people to your display if you are not around.

FINISH_MESSAGE
- You can assign an optional chat message here to let people know when your display is over.

START_EVENTS_TIME
- This is the date and time that your events starts.
- It should follow the format YEAR/MONTH/DAY HOUR/MINUTES.
- When this is set performances will not start before this time and date.

END_EVENTS_TIME
- This is the date and time that your events finish.
- It should follow the format YEAR/MONTH/DAY HOUR/MINUTES.
- When this is set performances will note start after this time and date.

[PERFORMANCES]
- Below this line enter the times of day when your event will trigger.
- Follow the format HOUR/MINUTES.
- Events will trigger at these intervals, but ONLY between START_EVENTS_TIME and END_EVENTS_TIME

** USING THE SEQUENCER BOX WITH OTHER STUFF **
Just FYI - The sequencer box simply triggers the fireworks command on the settings notecard specified chat channel. This means you could in theory use it with your own scripted items etc to create an elaborate display that triggers other stuff automatically. Similarly the fireworks are triggered by their chat commands from objects owned by the owner, so you could use other scripted devices to trigger them if you wish.
