I love this gazebo, easy to decorate it with own stuff and it gives my garden the special touch, thank you
Poor Quality
I was excited to buy this because there aren't too many examples of gazebos in this architectural style on MP, but:
1) Two of the support pillars have areas assigned to the wrong texture slot. (They pick up the texture on the underside of the roof, instead of the texture on the rest of the pillars). I know errors like this happen at the best of times, except:
2) While the ad correctly shows that the item has many faces, what it does NOT show is that most of these faces are unwrapped to tiny areas of the same UV, and have not been unwrapped with in-world tweaking in mind. The shingles, for example, are unwrapped to a top-down doughnut shape, which occupies about 400 x 400 on a 1024 x 1024 texture. This means you can't adjust them or get them to look like the example using the repeats and offsets in the in-world Build tool; you'll have to warp your shingle texture to conform to that small doughnut in an image program like Photoshop-- and even if you do, it'll still look low-resolution.
3) There are also parts of the unwrap that while not strictly erroneous don't make much sense. (Mirrored faces side-by-side on flat surfaces, in places where there wouldn't be any corresponding seams in the construction?)
I suppose it might be worth the price if you like the way it appears out of the box, and are willing to just place it out as is, but I expect better from a product advertised as a "builders kit".
