*New in version 1.1: As of version 1.1, you will find another box inside the A-10C's retail box, named "A-10C Attachable Model (Boxed)". In this box you will find an object called "A-10C (Attachable)" and a copy of the HUD. This version is intended to work around issues related to sim crossings and multiple mesh models and for those who wish to simply fly and cruise around, and for those wishing to fly in areas in which high land impact vehicles are unwelcome.

Conceived, designed and created with the goal of creating as realistic an experience as can currently be done.
This is not an aircraft designed for the casual user, but is designed to appeal to those users who wish to be challenged by a high fidelity simulation and want an aircraft they can fly with pride, knowing that they have earned the skills to rightfully call themselves a pilot.
State of the art, 100% original modeling and scripting optimized for the Second Life system, using only 907 kB of region resources - meaning smooth border crossings and no crushing lag.
Three menu-selectable patterns: Ghost Grey, EuroOne Woodland and "Peanut" Desert.
Customizable payloads with Mk24 Zuni Rockets, Mk82, Mk84, GBU-10 Paveway II, GBU-12 Paveway II, GBU-38 JDAM, AGM-65G/H Mavericks, AIM-9X Sidewinders, and of course the GAU-8/a Avenger 30mm cannon.
First and third person HUD, weapon reticles for each type of ordinance, day/night modes

Good looking but needs updating badly
The AC-10 Thunderbolt experience I had was a bad attachment model, It could not move or throttle. Next: It fly's too sluggish to lower throttle at approach runways, I flew over the runway without a quick descent to land & crashed at abandoned land. I could go on but to say, the plane needs updating to fly & land scripts badly, with assistance from other creators to make the plane better. The HUD was a decent approach for simulation with ordinance.
Hurts me to give only one star, but here's why.
I purchased two of these one for me and the other for my partner. He constantly has script errors and can not do anything with the plane. We've tried multiple viewers etc to no avial.
Me I just try to apply throttle and end up half way across the sim. If you buy this be patient cause it's damn near impossible to fly.
I have to give props though cause the plane looks and sounds incredible, it's a true work of art. However, not a great flying experience. I could have spent 8k elsewhere and we could be having a blast.
Just...... WOW 5/5
I don't even know where to start. The options on it are really nice on it and quite enjoyable, three different high quality textures? Awesome, thanks! Four different speeds, slow, normal, fast, very fast? Well this option is new to me and I appreciate you putting it in to this aircraft. Wrap mode... I honestly don't know the pure purpose for it but.. Okay! Put your own insignia on it? You got to be kidding me! Awesome! CHRIST all of the weapon choices and combinations! Flares are what flares should look like on a aircraft. Takes off how a aircraft should, unlike others that go straight up with out at full speed. Sounds are simply amazing! Peace through superior fire power? LOL I love it! The physics are remarkable! The A-10C has always been my favorite aircraft since I was young, so this is a plus for me! April, you are simply a impressive creator. I plan to buy so much more from you

The Most Impressive Aircraft I've Flown on Second Life
If you love the A-10C, you will love this plane. TOC's attempt to emulate the gun-sight and CCIP mods of the A10 are admirable, and the wrap-around feature is something I'd like to see on every plane I buy going forward- It actually gives you time to enjoy and appreciate the weapon options, instead of just slamming into a sim border by the time you get a target locked up.
Well worth the price!
Not worth the price.
For a simulation, this thing sure acts worse than a magic carpet. My first (and only) flight was made up of random inputs of the controls and the HUD not working. Recall and Wrapping features are nice, made it atleast.. tolerable. The one thing this could do was maintain a straight flight. Well, for abit anyway. After wrapping around the empty sim I was in a few times, the aircraft decided that a 45 degree angle upward was "straight"
Wait until someone else comes out with a good A-10. Or until the price for this drops significantly. The eye-candy looks are the extent of this one. That is, if the primcount doesn't keep you from using it as a lawn ornament.
If you want to ruin yourself for all other airplanes...
I have to second most of the points made in the review by AutocraticSoup. The singular nature of this thing cuts two ways.
On the one hand, it's a degree of true simulation nothing like the planes I've owned or seen in SL. It's ridiculous, in a good way. How close it comes to how a real aircraft behaves (given the limits of SL) is spooky. So many (too many?) other features like a proper HUD, working Digital Stores Management System, Day/Night modes, region "wrapping", etc etc etc. Over the top. In a good way.
On the other hand, it *is* so very unlike anything else in SL... If you don't genuinely want a realistic aircraft and you're here looking for another plane that rides like a magic carpet/on rails/like a flying Winnebago... stop reading this now and go back to the index of listings. Happy "flying"!
You're still here? Just get it. You'll swear at it for an hour, learn it, and when you conquer it, it'll be like cake AND ice cream for dinner.
