How to set it up:
1. Drop a vote board on the ground and if you wish to, rename it. (All boards need to have the same first 3 letters in their name!)
2. Copy this board and set it up everywhere within the sim.
3. Drop the winner board and name it with first 3 letters exactly like the vote boards' first 3 letters, then open it.
4. Open the Config card inside the board and set participating price, voting price, and if you wish assistants. Otherwise leave assistant name fields empty.
You can also decide if you want vote counts to show or not in the card.
5. Click "Save" on the notecard.
6. Close the board.
That's it!
Now your contestants can pay a board then drag their (full permission!!!!) picture into it.
After the board of the participant is set up the voters can pay it to vote.
Winner board will show the leader by votes. Updating each time a new payment is made.
Options:
upgrade checker:
Just drop it on the ground and click it to see if there is an upgrade.
It will always deliver the latest version to you.
vote boards:
Sign up
- Signs people up when participating price is 0.
Reset
- this deletes the current participant from the contest, cleans all pictures and resets the board to default so that a new contestant can start.
Votecount
- this says the board's votecount in open chat
winner board:
Reset
- resets ALL boards
Votecount
- shows votecount of current leader. (very handy to compare this with the board, to see if anyone may have tried to cheat somehow)
Advanced:
If you wish to sign up contestants on your own,
1. Click a contest board,
2. Sign up,
3. Drag the photo of contestant into the CONTENTS of the board. (It is not enough that you put it on the texture field!!!).
4. Click the board and chose "Update" to show the pic.
5. Change the board description to the contestant name (or anything you want to vote on) in edit mode.
6. Click the board again and chose "Update".
That should show the contestant name in hovertext above the board.
If any board should at some point not do what it should, rez another new board beside it, wait a moment until you see the green chat from the winner board, then click the "wrong working" board and chose "update". That fixes any lag caused issues instantly!
