DARKLIGHT GREETER

The Darklight Greeter has been created for the specific needs of anyone putting on shows, as well as for all shops, clubs, venues and events in general.

The Darklight Greeter initiative is a specific request from my friend and no less famous DJ Darkangel Darkward, who couldn't find a functional and effective utility.

Don't forget anyone else, the Darklight Greeter will welcome your spectators and visitors by sending a welcome message in their language via the local t'chat and a private message if you have defined a detection zone more than 20 m away. In fact, local t'chat limits the distance a message can be sent from its position to a maximum of 20 m, whereas a private message has no distance limit.

A welcome message is therefore sent when someone arrives, but only once, to avoid spamming them.

If the avatar leaves the SIM and comes back later, a new message such as ‘Nice to see you again...’ will be sent, again in their own language.

The Darklight Greeter automatically recognises the language of the newcomer based on the list known to SecondLife viewers.

All messages can be configured with notes that you can personalise.

There are several notes that will allow you to adapt Darklight Greeter to your needs.

- CONFIGURATION: Allows you to set a few useful options, we'll see the detail later.
- WELCOME : The welcome messages in each language to which the Avatar's name is added.

- MESSAGES: a list of 11 public messages that you pre-programme and launch using menu buttons.

THE DARKLIGHT GREETER HAS 5 BUTTONS ON ITS FRONT PANEL:

1) The ‘ON/OFF’ button to activate and deactivate the GREETER.
Note that in the HUD version the GREETER deactivates automatically if you change SIM,
2) The ‘MESSAGE’ button opens a menu of pre-programmed messages, allowing you to send a phrase to the entire audience within a radius of 20 m,
3) The central ‘CONFIGURATION’ button lets you adjust the visitor detection zone according to the size of the club, shop or venue, as well as accessing plugins and statistics,
4) The ‘AVATAR INFORMATION’ button displays all the information about an avatar on the SIM or PARCEL in a window.

THE CENTRAL BUTTON

This allows you to adjust the detection distance of your customers on the plot according to the volume of the room.

I've developed a very effective scanner function for this purpose. The ‘Sensor’ function in Secondlife script works very roughly over a maximum distance of 96 m.

So I've developed my own ‘FULLSCAN TechnologiK’ sensor, which can detect any avatar on a plot of land, or even on an entire SIM if it's not subdivided.

The detection distance is like a bubble, ranging from 5 m to 256 m. In RANGE FULL, there is no filtering; detection is carried out over the entire volume of the plot.

There are three other buttons in the CONFIGURATION menu:

- STATISTICS: This button gives you access to real-time statistics, which can be sent by email.
o PARCEL: The list of avatars present on the entire parcel and their language code,
o RANGE: The people present in the detection zone with their language code (fr), (us)...
o WELCOME : The list of people welcomed,
o GO OUT: People who have left the session to go to another SIM or another plot,
o COMEBACK: People who have returned,
o DISCONNECT: Indicates avatars that have disconnected from the SIM,
o ALL STATS: All statistics,
o EMAIL: Sends statistics by email,
o FULL HISTORY, reads the entire memory with arrival and departure times, etc.
o RESET ALL: Resets the DarkLight Greeter configuration and history memory,

- PLUGINS: Allows you to add optional active elements from the ‘Darklight’ series.
