In most of the cases there are Multi-userversions. This version, the owner can change to group or everybody. This vehicles DONT has a menu. I tried to make it much realistic, so you have to click buttons in the ship via mouselook crossfade or mouse arrow. More details of the features can be seen on the picture. Nice work and I'd be interested in the next version. The great part: Works as described, & I appreciate not having a hud. I need to drive it some more and see if there is a way it could driver a little faster.
It's important as with most things to actually read the instructions. You have to power it up, pick a direction and then you can set and drive as the note explains. While you can change the texture, if it has a clear background, the boat logo will show through. Easy enough fix, don't use a logo with a clear background. Future update could fix this. Would also like to see a blank no logo option + no txt on side of boat directing to see notes to change logo, so 4 stars for that.
NOTE: If you do use this over L Mainland waters, you'll need someone in the car so it wont get returned, and appears setting the car to N is needed. Nicely Done.
Amazing even in 2019
I was abit iffy on the review someone else left but i said why not see for my self and i have to say WOW amazing even still the controls are amazing the script work is perfect . and crosses so VERY nicely . im very much impressed with this ferry and will 100% be using it for our rp
Beyond out dated
Normally my reviews are a little more positive , I am a keen roleplayer and like things that are realistic , but this ...this is a complete disaster.
First off the out dated prim look of cheap wallpaper walls and poorly cut seams hardly make the price worthwhile , secondly the attempt at realistic controls is laughable at best , thankfully you can cam over to the ramps etc , because anyone with any knowledge of Second life sailing knows that not all regions will allow to get off your boat without it vanishing , thirdly sitting at the wheel controls is damn near impossible , constantly wants to sit on the couch regardless of how or where you click to drive.
Now the overall look , I can work with it ...ok its not pretty , but when I go to put my logo on and I ensure its not transparent ( Played SL long enough to know how to make a simple decal) and the original one remains regardless under my decal , really? your previous trailers and stuff could at least delete the default or all signs , this one because it lacks MENU controls prevents that.
I have some positives though , I do like the dual wheel controls at aft and bow , I do like the overall look of the ship , just needs a more modern cabin on it ...maybe put passengers benches outside adjacent the car deck like a real life ferry , drop the 2D prim walls and invest in some mesh components with the prims ... Could easily justify adding 500 to 1000L to the price if you put some effort into this build , as it does sail very nicely and handles realistic ...but bring back the menu and make things a little easier.
It wont be sailing for our role play ferry service though , its just not up to our standards
