Instructions (also provided in included notecard):
Thank you for your purchase!
Please note that because this tattoo is animated, it does not apply like normal tattoos you are used to, instead it is an Object that you wear (like jewelry or hair). This gives the tattoo many advantages over normal tattoos:
* It works with any body type or shape including all mesh and classic avatars.
* You can place the tattoo anywhere on your body, from your thigh, to your shoulder or cheek.
* You can resize the tattoo to any size you want, to show it off or make it fit a smaller spot.
* You can adjust the transparency of the tattoo to give it a more faded look.
The one disadvantage is that the tattoo is a flat surface and does not bend or wrap around the body like normal tattoos do. Because of this, special care may be needed to make the tattoo look it's best.
To use your animated tattoo, simply right click on it and select "Add" and see if you like the default location. If you want to move it, or can't see it, follow these steps to properly place and adjust your tattoo.
TATTOO PLACEMENT
* Identify the part of the body you wish to place the tattoo on, such as lower back, thigh, or shoulder. Keep in mind that flatter body parts, such as chest, back, shoulders or thighs, are easier to work with.
* Detach the tattoo, right click on it, and select "Attach to", and select the appropriate body part.
TATTOO ADJUSTMENT
From your inventory, right click on the tattoo and select Edit, this will open edit mode, allowing you to adjust the position of the tattoo. You move and adjust the tattoo just like moving furniture around your home.
* Use the red / green / blue arrows to adjust the tattoo's general position to get it where you want it.
* Hold Down CTRL and spin the red / green / blue circles to turn the tattoo until it is facing the direction you want. If the rotation gets out of whack, edit the tattoo, go to the Object tab, and set the Rotation boxes to 0, 0, 0 to re-center it. ONLY do this for Rotation!
Hold down CTRL-SHIFT you can pull and push the red / green / blue / white boxes to change the size and shape of the tattoo.
TIPS
- This is FAR easier to do on a pose stand so that you aren't swaying and moving about.
- Once you have the general position and size all set, use the edit arrows and circles try to get the tattoo as close to the skin as possible, and angled with the skin, so that it looks natural.
- After you have the tattoo in position, try walking around and a few dances and watch the tattoo, see if it disappears or clips into your skin. If so, you might need to adjust it a bit further from the skin.
- If you can't find the tattoo, it is likely either inside your body or the invisible sides are facing you. To find it, find it in your inventory, make sure it is added (bolded), right click and select edit to highlight it.
- Try to use flat body parts, the more curved the body part, the harder it will be to get the tattoo to look right, but one thing to try is make the tattoo smaller to fit.
- These tattoos are Copy so you have one in a place you like, you can make a copy of it to try on a different body part.
- Hold down CTRL-ALT and right mouse button to move your camera around, and scroll wheel to zoom.
