Demo has different colour for each body, so check out the different bodies for colour sample.
Materials are extra layers in the texture that is applied to your mesh. Materials can only be seen if the Advanced Lighting Model is turned on in your viewer preferences and advanced lighting is applied on the sim you are on. Materials give the Mesh a touch of extra realistic texture.
