How to get it working:

1. Make your awesome sign out of as many prims as you want
2. Drop the light script in each of them
3. Make a root prim and drop the control script in it
4. Link the light prims starting from bottom up (the order is only for your own convenience, you may do otherwise too)
5. Link the control prim last so it becomes the root of the object
6. Edit the step sequencer list to be the length of your light prim count
7. Make your sequence
8. Join my awesome group! It's called "Miuku's" - without the quotes!
9. You're done!

Please note that you cannot resell these scripts. You can sell them as part of your own creations (I'd love to see them!), but claiming ownership of the scripts is both naughty and a copyright violation. Obviously, reselling the examples is also forbidden.
