Does your boat stop animating you after a bad crossing ? Does it give error messages about llStopAnimation ?
Then this fix is for you.
More a workaround than a fix but it will make your boat enjoyable again until the bugs during region crossings get eventually fixed.
It's a modified version of AVsit script and is easy to install, just edit your boat, delete all AVsit * scritps then add the replacement AVsit into the boat for each one missed (it will automatically add a number after). Wait a moment for AVsitter to relaod and you are done.
Tested in TMS Star Class, TMS Ushuaia, Bandit 170, Bandit SRV210 (not 210C) and should work in any vehicle that uses AVsitter 1.29 : TMS Iseo (all versions), TMS Privilege, TMS Captains Launch, Bandit 570, Bandit Bambino, Bandit SweetPea, TMS Elements, TMS Flying Shadow, TMS Sea Boss Rider, TMS Sea Boss Xtreme, Bandit IF, Bandit 50/3, TMS Pacha 110, TMS Ocean Beach, TMS Destino, Bandit Luxe Motor, Bandit Springer, Bandit Dixie Belle, TMS Flying Fish, TMS Sea Boss - Cadet, TMS I-Mocca 60.
To know if your vehicle uses AVsitter 1.29, open the animations menu and make sure it's saying "AVsitter™ 1.29".
After applying this fix, it will show "AVsitter™ 1.29u" instead.
Just get one and save your travels :D
There is really no reason to avoid this product.
It's free, it's widely tested and stable. Just grab it, install it in your vehicle in a matter of minutes, and you're done.
Your experience with your vehicle will just improve without those annoying errors =)

The SL crossing changes from a while back made it possible to use my favorite 50/3 again.
This script improved it even more.
Side effect of this relative luxury is that I'm going to hate corners even more. :-)

Worth 10 Stars..And More!
I sail, A LOT, probably more then is healthy (if that's possible lol) so safe to say I've put this fix/workaround to the test. Out of three different waterways, various times of day/night/morning, with various connections/speeds/pings, with various boats associated with the AVSit script, I have had all of one single issue, and that was after a really harsh crossing, that at the best of times probably would have caused script failures anyway. This fix/workaround is as spot on as can be. Where the previous workarounds (which were very appreciated as well) were major improvements, and steps in the right direction, this one hits the home run!
One request would be, and its more that I really hope, you can work up a workaround/fix for the Bandit 25r, 55 and 60 if possible as well.

I tried this AVsit replacement in my IF and as of now, after some sailing it works good for me. Even after falling off the boat on a simcorner cross and re-sit after, the anims worked, which usually didn't. Finally the joy is back sailing without the odd sits!

Unless I am missing something instructions are missing.
To use the scripts simply delete the Avsit, Avsit1 etc scripts from your boat and then drag the replacement AVsit into the boat for each one missed (it will automatically add a number after).
You have to wait for the avsit script to report it has loaded the anims... it generally takes a few minutes and then you are good to go.
I have been using an earlier version of these for a few weeks and it has made boats that were frustrating to sail because of errors useable again.
Hopefully Linden Labs will get around to fixing the problem server side, but until they do these make a huge difference.
