Airship Crane
Do you like airships? Do you use a lot of coal? This is the machine you've been looking for!
Suspended over a pile of coal, an airship's attached crane lowers it's great jaws. As it lifts a tremendous scoop of coal from the pile, the airship sinks noticeably from the additional weight and sways as a counterweight moves to balance the craft. The mechanism creaks and groans. The crane jaws move the coal and drop it into a mechanized bin, the lightened craft lifting and bouncing with the change of weight, swaying from the momentary imbalance. The coal falls into the mouth of a Distribution mechanism, which, with a giant rotating screw, pushes the coal through a large pipe to an underground storage chamber. It is a sight to see!
This machine was built for the annual New Babbage Oiling Festival, where it tied for 1st place in the “Honking Big Machine” category in 2014. The installation was built on a 25 by 25 meter platform, but used only 49 of the allowed 100 prim land impact for this category.
The Airship Crane and the included Distribution System mechanism can be controlled individually. As owner, you will be able to start and stop the mechanisms and control the volume of the sound effects. In addition, you may adjust the amount of “bounce” and “sway” the Airship Crane experiences while performing its function.
All parts are copy and mod, so you may change whatever you like. However, if you change the sizes of any of the crane’s components, the object animation may not work properly.

One of the most innovative airships you will see in SL
Wow, what an airship! Few airships are built with this level of detail and I have never seen one anything like this. If you are a lover of airships, this is a must-buy! If you love industrial machines, this is a must-buy too :) At 49 prims you would be hard pressed to find a more impressive machine or airship.
The prims are Mod, allowing tinting of the airship body (for all you Modders out there).
The mechanism is realistic and enchanting. You absolutely must see it moving to appreciate this build, still pictures simply cannot do the movement any justice.
I hope the creator builds more in a series for this airship style. I'd love to see a custom mooring station, different versions of this airship with different airship bodies and anything which could contribute to a fleet of these amazing airships.
