~Albion~ German Military Drill HUD

Command or participate in military formations and drill with as many people as you wish. The Military Drill HUD is fully compatible with other Albion military products and works wonderfully with the German Military Parade, German War Flag and German Officer's Saber.

These HUDs allow individuals and groups to do authentic German drill with exact synchronization. Not only do the HUDs allow for synced 'come to attention' and 'eyes right/left' but also for precise rifle and sword drill either by individuals or squads. An authentic salute feature is also included. This drill and manual of arms was used from the 19th century through both WW1 and WW2 and on to the present day in the German Army.

-Operation-

Included are three military HUDs. The 'light' HUD is for everyday wear and use, and includes standing at attention and saluting buttons that are useful to have access to quickly. While at attention walking will result in a march. The 'drill' HUD includes those functions plus 'eyes right' and 'eyes left' buttons and the ability to do rifle/sword drill and be synchronized in a group. The 'command' HUD includes all drill functions and is worn by the person who will be commanding group drill instead of a normal 'drill' HUD.

To do drill, wear any drill rifles or swords then:

a.) Every group member to be commanded wears a 'drill' HUD. The commander of the group wears a 'command' HUD.
b.) Every group member presses 'G' on their 'drill' HUD and selects the name of their commander from the list. This is limited by range, so the commander must be nearby. The 'G' will turn green indicating group mode is active.
c.) The group commander activates one of the two buttons on the right of his 'command' HUD. The top one includes him in the ordered drill, the bottom one orders the group only.

With a group set up this way, any button pressed (except salute) on the commander's HUD will be an order to the entire group and executed simultaneously.

-Rifles & Swords-

The HUDs allow for rifle and sword drill. A sample Mauser K98k drill rifle is included. This weapon is only useful for drill; other functional combat weapons that are HUD-compatible are available from Albion such as the German Officer's Saber. When a 'drill' or 'command' HUD and the rifle and sling are worn, you can do rifle drill. Come to attention, then begin at 'order arms.' From there you can 'shoulder arms,' and from shouldering you can 'present arms.' From present you return to shoulder, then to order. From order you can 'sling arms.' This same pattern works for the saber, so it's possible to have some in a group (such as the commander) doing drill with a saber while the rest of the group drills with rifles.
