Almond CrossSafe Vehicle Tracking System, Version 1.2

The Almond CrossSafe Vehicle Tracking System is a single script you can use in your vehicle if it is modifiable. It is designed for convenient and effective use, and it allows you to find your lost vehicle nearly anywhere in SL!

What is the purpose of CrossSafe?

If you use your own vehicles to travel in SL, you know it isn't always a smooth ride, and vehicles do get lost sometimes. This script is useful for everyone who uses any kind of vehicle in SL. If you often lose your vehicles, this script is especially for you!

What do you need to be able to use CrossSafe?

A vehicle that you can modify. You can simply drag the script into the vehicle, and it will start to work! It is just that simple!

How does it work?

Drag the script into your vehicle's contents, and it will automatically turn on. While active, it will check for your and other people's presence in and around the vehicle. If it can't detect anyone in the direct vicinity of the vehicle, you will get an Instant Message (IM) notification with your vehicle's exact location URL in certain intervals.

Note: You have to manually turn off CrossSafe when you park your vehicle and don't want to receive notifications.

What kinds of vehicles can CrossSafe be used in?

All of them! CrossSafe can be used in any kind of vehicle. It doesn't matter if it is a car, motorcycle, aircraft, boat, spaceship, witch broom, magic carpet or a prim cube. As long as the object is modifiable, you can put the script in it, and it will work fine.

Features:

Lost Vehicle Tracking: If you lose your vehicle, CrossSafe will send you an IM with your vehicle's current location after 10 minutes if it doesn't find anyone near the vehicle, and subsequent messages until the vehicle gets rescued.

Refined location notification pattern to prevent capped IMs: You get one message 10, 20, 30, and 60 minutes after losing your vehicle, as well as one per each subsequent hour, this way you only get a few IMs from CrossSafe if you're unable to log back in to SL for a few hours.

Easy to turn off with a gesture, a simple Key Fob HUD, or a chat command, when you park your vehicle.

Group Access: CrossSafe can be set to allow group members to turn it off, so now it can be conveniently used in vehicles used by groups!

Vehicle Deletion: If you turn this function on, CrossSafe will delete your vehicle after delivering the third location IM, so you won't get unnecessary offline IMs while you're unable to get to your vehicle.

Automatic Activation on Movement: If your vehicle starts to move while CrossSafe is turned off, it will turn on automatically! To exclude the rocking motion of floating watercraft, CrossSafe will only turn on automatically if the detected distance is more than 5 meters.

Simple, easy-to-use Key Fob HUD to turn off CrossSafe with one click, and to reach other commands with a menu.
