It's not just plain alpha layers...
The edges have a white halo artifact that's common with non-Targa (probably png-format) to JPEG2000-converted textures.
Could have easily been remedied by making a faint drop shadow.
Nonetheless, nowhere, the description said these were plain alpha texture glasses. And those always look crappy in 3D.
