This is a very large pack (1000+!) of Metal Rough materials from AmbientCG.com, converted to glTF materials for use in Second Life. The goal of this pack is to reduce the amount of duplicate materials on the grid as well as to hopefully prevent reselling of already free materials.
All materials are named closely to how they appear on AmbientCG.com for easy lookup in case you need higher resolution or .sbar (Substance Materials) versions of these materials. Some source textures have mangled filenames due to the glTF uploader.
All materials and textures are Creative Commons, provided as-is. https://creativecommons.org/public-domain/cc0/
Thank you to these awesome people for helping convert and pack these materials:
Anarchist Husbando
Jenna Huntsman
Journey Bunny
You can find the source for these materials and much, much more at https://ambientcg.com/
Real cool
So happy to be the proud owner of this pack. I am looking forward to changing up my world a bit and learning the new stuff. Thanks for the generosity, much appreciated.
Awesome
Upgraded my underwear with a PBR fabric texture from this pack, very nice. Seems like it'll be good for builds too
An Incredible Resource
A fantastic way to spruce up old builds and objects and give them a modern finish. The sheer amount means you'll always have something for any given situation or desired look. I mean it. Grab this, go rez out some old stuff and slap on some of these materials. You'll find that you can breath new life into things that started to look dated some years back. Hell, it'll even make prim furniture look not completely ancient, assuming that the shape is decent.
Works like it should!
I just recently got to test these out on the firestorm viewer and they work like it should.
Incredible!
Honestly, I'm still a little stunned.
With pbr and mirrors being all the rage... and on the day of the pbr firestorm release... as a creator, this was the absolute find of (second) lifetime!
There are literally HUNDREDS of GORGEOUS pbr textures for just about ANY build and for ANY use you could possibly need.... for ZERO LINDENS!!
Just incredible! Thank you!
