ANNOUNCEMENT - August 2023: Are you interested in controlling an Animesh NPC with AnyPose? Contact me for details. I am working on a separate item for Mod/Copy humanoid Animesh NPCs.
(NOTE: THIS VERSION DOES NOT SAVE POSES THAT YOU CAN SELL. If you want to save .bvh files that can be uploaded into SL and used in your own items for sale, please take a look at AnyPose BVH. This limited version of AnyPose is geared toward photographers and machinimists that may not need to save and upload the .bvh files.
If later you decide you would like all the features of AnyPose BVH, you can purchase an upgrade here on the marketplace.
The AnyPose pose stand is unique in SL as the first pose stand that lets you pose your avatar in nearly unlimited positions. Using HUD or keyboard control, you can adjust each joint of your avatar.
NEW IN VERSION 1.91
══════════════════
You can switch between Low and High priority on the stand. High priority allows for overriding more mesh body animations and AOs.
NEW IN VERSION 1.8
══════════════════
• Cloud Memory feature for saving and loading poses without having to deal with notecards.
• Many more Bento Hand poses.
══════════════════
Photographers/machinimists: Build your own library of poses that can be easily played back, and adjusted on the fly to fix "Hand stuck in leg" and all the other problems associated with fixed poses and various avatar sizes. Control up to 99 stands at once from the HUD. Use the Live! feature to correct poses made by others.
Features:
• Position each joint via HUD or keyboard control.
• Cloud memory feature allows you to save your poses and recall them from any of your other pose stands.
• Live! posing without a pose stand. The Live! feature can also puppet another avatar.
• Rez a pose stand from the HUD for even more control of your avatar.
• Move and rotate avatars seated on the AnyPose stand using HUD control.
• Make poses as a team. The AnyPose HUD can control pose stands owned by others.
• Use any of SL's 13 hand animations and 40 Bento hand animations while on the stand.
• Force the eyes into specific positions.
• Classic (Non-Bento) facial expression support.
• Control up to 99 stands from the HUD.
• Mirror Right Arm<->Left Arm / Right Leg<->Left Leg / Whole Body.
• Send poses to U-Poser for additional adjustments, or inclusion into U-Poser's animation builder.
• Each joint has roughly 256 positions (Some more, some less) in the normal range of human motion. This give surprising flexibility in pose creation.
• Free updates. AnyPose has a built-in update checker.
Online help files available from the Help button in the pose stand menu.
Join the AnyPose Announcements group for additional info.
Disclosure:
• You can NOT copy poses made by other creators with AnyPose. However, you can use Live! to adjust poses made by others.
• There are sure to be some joint positions that are humanly possible that you can not recreate in AnyPose. That is an unfortunate trade-off of being able to adjust your own joints in-world.
• The AnyPose "WWW BVH" feature does not use any outside servers. The "Save BVH" feature does use an outside server to simplify the process of saving .BVH files so they can be uploaded into SL.
• Linden Labs had considered adding a feature similar to this to SL, but its status is on hold, and it may or may not show up anytime soon. This features was known as Avatar Puppeteering.
• No refunds will be made, if you are unsure of this purchase, try the demo for free.
• Replacements can be provided with proof of purchase.
- In-world pose creation for photographers
- Live posing
- Repair existing poses
- Facial expressions including eyes
- Hand posing
NEEDS UPDATING
My anypose is messed up, its no longer working
VERY STATIC
The movement of the joints is very static, it is not possible to achieve rotation in the hips, elbows or legs.
Pretty good, there's more room to improve though.
This system totally changed my way to create poses and taking pictures in SL. Despite a few drawbacks and somewhat awkward controls it's almost everything I needed. I just wanted to have more controls over certain limbs rotation, specially on shoulders.
Not what you might expect.
I mainly got this to make static poses for pics, and for that it works very well, my only critique is that while the increments of whole body movement can be changed from large to very small, the joint movement cannot be changed at all, this results in many times I cannot get a body part exactly where I want it. It would be a major improvement if you could add joint increments.
I was also excited about adjusting existing poses made by others since so many of them are just wrong, but this was a whole different can of worms. Yes priorities can be a big problem and prevent Anypose from working at all if the priority is too high, but this is not something that can be controlled and you will want to consider that before buying this product if adjusting existing poses is important to you. Also I found that when adjusting a couple pose on a purchased piece of furniture, when swapping back and forth between avatars, the other avatar must give permission each and every time. That is quite inconvenient as the other person may be afk while you are adjusting. also when swapping between avatars the adjustments didn't save, even when saving to memory before switching, the joint just goes back to it's original position. I don't know whether a pose has to be mod to be able to do this, but so far there seems to be enough limitations with this product to question the L1500 price tag.
Bit of a steep learning curve - Would like to understand the LIVE feature more.
I bought this almost 6 months ago and still struggling with some features. I realise this is probably my fault, and nothing to do with the system. But I have found the instruction manual doesn't sometimes help me.
For example - I mainly bought this to adjust the poses made by others. 9as often the hand position just needs a little tweak). So was hoping I could do that with the LIVE feature, which says...
"You can NOT copy poses made by other creators with AnyPose. However, you can use Live! to adjust poses made by others. ".
But I have never been able to get the LIVE feature to work.
Whenever I press it, the ANYPOSE interface just says "STAND ON THE ANYPOSE"...which I am unable to do, as by doing that I then lose the purchased pose I want to adjust.
I cannot see any detail in the manual how to properly use this LIVE feature to adjust purchased poses. I am sure there is a way. But I cannot figure it out.
