Ideal for both men and women, Auricle ears are easy to adjust. Use the standard edit tools to position one ear, then use the sync setting on the HUD to match the other painlessly!

Use the HUD to choose one of the twenty-four included textures and easily tint it to match your skin. An applier system is built in so your favorite skin designer can make appliers with perfect texture matches! (Please consult your skin designer regarding applier availability.)

Auricle ears do not include pre-set piercings, allowing you to customize your look with the jewelry you already have. Tattoos will be available in our main shop as they are released, and are easily installed with our applier system.

The product includes full-perm alpha layers and textures to hide your default avatar ears. Skin designers: contact me in-world for a skin applier kit!

For months I had difficulty hearing my friends. I would constantly ask them to SHOUT so that I could understand what they were saying. Ever since I switched from system ears to the new mesh ears by Midnight Lotus, my hearing is the best it's ever been! No more system ears for me! Thank you, Midnight Lotus!

(And No, the change had nothing to do with the new headphones my husband bought me!)

*Ahem*

Once again Mme Kuramoto hits it out of the park with yet another product that brings even more enhancement to the avie. These ears are very pretty indeed and the setup was quite easy. Go, try a demo. You won't be disappointed.

Finally a better ear!

I normally shy away from mesh product. I think that they are a touch unnecessary. Yet the two body parts on the standard avatar that are by far worthy of a replacement are the feet and the ears. Lets face it.. when Linden Labs made the avatar it was not the most lovingly made. They seemed to focus more one reducing polygon count to make it run well on most hardware when it came out in 2005. Now 9 years later.. the parts of the avatar that back then were not the most flattering are now the most eye galling. For years I have been simply just hiding them with my hair rather then show them off.

These ears on the other-hand and superb. They have a lot of detail in them. You can see the dips and curves and really do look like ears and not wads of putty slapped to the side of the head with ear texture painted on. Best of all unlike most other mesh ears they are just plain normal ears. No built in accessories. No massive gauge earrings stretching out the lobes. Just plain normal ears that you can accessories to your liking.

I will say this. These being mesh fall into the same problem I have with most mesh products. Other then size and placement you do not have any control over shape. You can't make them more pointy, or less so. The earlobes are unattached at the bottom, so if you want them attached you would have to try to manipulate them to look like they are... maybe. Hopefully the maker will add additional styles to her line of ears.

That being said I still would recommend buying them. They are by far an improvement over the standard ears. If fact I am now off to find I nice updo so everyone can see them.

Awesome!

Let's face it, the avatar system's ears suck. They're sloppily done, they have almost no pixels, and worst of all, they're in the wrong place. They SHOULD be so the top of the ear is even with the eyebrow line, and the top of the ear funnel that connects to your head should be at eye level.

Well, Midnight Lotus Auricles can fix all that. They bring the same loving attention to detail of other Midnight Lotus products (yanno, the ones further down on your avatar?) and the same quality mesh sculpture you expect.

I'll be honest, before I tried them on, I thought the idea was kind of silly. Then I realized that properly placed ears DO look better. A lot better. Wow.

It's the usual procedure. Just wear the alpha, arrange one ear, then tell the HUD to mirror from one to the other. (Note that they will follow the placement of your ears, and if you have a non-zero face sheer, they won't be even. They're not supposed to be.) Then, you can either tint them with the same tinting HUD you've used for the other Midnight Lotus parts of your anatomy, or if you're fortunate, your skin maker can release a texture applier for your ears. (Skin makers, I just made one in about 15 minutes, and it's been a year since I did any skin work, so my skills are rusty. Mostly you just need a basic area of uncomited skin texture and ML's overlays.)

So yes. Look better. Get yourself some realistic ears.

The ears I've always wanted :D

I think that these will be the last ears I ever need.

Having tried some other mesh ears, I found they all stuck out a bit more than I wanted and I ended up looking more like Will Smith. Not what I was aiming for. The Auricle ears fixed that problem brilliantly!

These ear are so nicely modeled and show a level of care and attention that I feel other mesh ears are lacking. Nothing funky at all about these at all. I had no problem at all color matching them or placing them where I wanted them. The process was completely painless thanks to the incredibly useful and well thought out HUD. One of the best features of the HUD is that you can mirror one ear to the other. So when you're adjusting them to your unique head and face, you only have to move one, hit a button, and the other will match that position so you don't end up with uneven ears. So helpful!!

I highly recommend these ears to anyone looking to upgrade/date their look. It's a very inexpensive and effective way to enhance your avatar.

Very impressive

I've been using mesh ears for well over a year now, and just found these; they're very nicely done, with a shape that sticks out a bit less than most others, and the HUD is very easy to use (there's a good range of preset textures and tinting is a breeze). Also they're mod, which is a big plus if you'd rather tint with the built in texture tool (and mod also means you can link modifiable piercings/earrings to them; this was an issue with the no-mod ears I had...I could wear earrings, but the multiple attachment bug meant that I'd have to relog to detach, more often than not.)

If you like the added detail of mesh ears and want modifiability, these are definitely worth the price.
