The CAC Boomerang was never used for racing, before or after military service, and arguably would have been terrible for it, due to its relatively low speed compared to other fighters of the time. However, with the addition of a turbo-supercharger such as in the CA-14 prototype, the Boomerang could possibly have been a respectable racer.
