Play Backgammon against an ava mate, against the computer, or watch the computer play against himself. The AI is at advanced level.
Backgammon has the following features:
- Play against an ava mate, against the computer, or watch the computer play against itself.
- The game doesn't allow you to make illegal moves and announces when you have to pass (part of) your moves.
- The board indicates the Pip count.
- Undo function
- Resign function
- Doubler cube
- The AI of the computer is hard to beat.
How to play:
Click the board.
Select if you want to play against an ava mate, the computer or watch the computer play against himself.
2 dices (one black and one white) are presented at the board.
Click the black dice to determine who starts the game.
The opponent is the ava who first clicks the white dice. No other ava is allowed to perform moves during the match.
Resign: The opponents may offer to resign single, gammon or backgammon at any time when it is their turn and the opponent must agree via dialog box.
Doubler cube: The opponents may offer to double - touch the doubler cube before throwing the dices when the cube is either in the middle or in your possession. The opponent may either accept to take the cube or decline. In the latter case, the game is lost for the opponent.
Resign and doubler cube can also be used when playing against the computer.
Scoring: The score is calculated as follows:
+ normal ending of the game (one player has born off all of his pieces)
The winning stage single(1), gammon(2) or backgammon(3) is multiplied with the value of the doubler cube.
+ one player has offered to resign single(1), gammon(2) or backgammon(3)
The resign value is multiplied with the value of the doubler cube.
Example: Player offered to resign with gammon (factor 2) and the doubler cube stands at 4 regardless of who possess the cube : 2*4 = 8 winning points
Click one of the side faces of the board to reset.
Enjoy the gammon game.

No Copy
I totally agree with the above review. It has happened to me with a stack dump error. It should be at least be copy. No way to get it redelivered either. I contacted the creator but did not get a reply.
Do Not Recommend
The game is great, but.....it is not possible to have redelivered if an sl glitch causes you to lose it. I know, you think it won't happen to you because you're so careful but guess what? You can't control unexpected restarts etc, and sometimes things get lost. This sucks!
Maybe stating the obvious but this certainly has nothing to do with artificial intelligence.
Nice design, quasi-functional, overpriced and NO_COPY for L1,700!
The ''double cube handling'' which was only implemented in version 7 should have been a big hint. This game's development was started over a decade ago and is still bugged.
The game time-out should not be existent, especially while there is no option to control it(why-O-why would you even put a game time-out?).
The most ridiculous bug is an additional time-out when someone doubles; If ''A'' asks to double and ''B'' does not answer within a minute, game ends and ''B'' wins(!!).
If you double click a pawn, it plays both dices. That should not be happening. A pawn should only move when it is specifically clicked.
When playing dice one dims out to show it's not selected so depending on the alpha around the game, the dice is hard to see.
I would not recommend it for playing against the program which is weak. All you need to do is create a 20 points difference and double for it to resign even if it's in a better position. One thing to watch out; Do not be vulnerable in the computer's home when he has one out as it has a ''tendency''' to get the right dice to kick you out way too often to be random.
Seller does not answer, looks like he's not been around for a long while(still system avatar), his web site is a joke, do not expect any kind of support.
