The Bade Babe is a gentle-sailing, Bwind-driven sloop that is great for pleasure cruises and exploring the waters of Second life. It is made of various parts that I scavenged from around the Tradewinds Yacht Club (TYC) in the Dex region of Second Life and was built there following the extensive boat creation tutorials that the club provides. If you want to learn how to make a sailboat and you need the stuff to do it, the TYC is the place to go.
Because almost everything that went into the boat was given to me, I am, in turn, giving this boat to you for free with Modify, Copy, No Transfer permissions. The illustrious Bwind scripts used to actually sail the boat are set to No Modify in order to honor Becca Moulliez’s generous licence for the use of them. Additionally, the beautiful hull sculpt was designed at the TYC by Manul Rotaru.
I also want to thank Burt Artis for writing the script that allows you to stand on the deck :)

Nice, Sailboat!
I really like, this boat. It sails, easily, and I need that. I am new, to sailboats, in sl, & have never sailed, in rl. It is easy to operate, and very relaxing.
Almost perfect. And certainly the best way to learn sailing in SL.
I've owned my Bade Babe for a couple of years, and find it just the perfect way to learn how to really sail in SL (as opposed to other "sailboats" that really don't respond to wind at all and may as well be powerboats).
My only issue with the Bade Babe is that it's "owner only," which requires me to advise friends who visit at my island estate to take the five-ten minutes required to come to Marketplace, get a free copy of the boat for their own, and rez it before sailing out from my estate - instead of simply leaving a copy of the boat out alongside my dock for them to use.
But compared to the many, many good things about the Bade Babe - the very highly informative HUD, realistic boom that swings around with the wind, and low prim count, that "owner only" limitation looms small indeed.
The Bade Babe is a very well-made boat with an excellent, realistic sailing engine, and I recommend it to any new SL sailor who wants a good introduction to actual sailing in Second Life (it has no "motor," so you either get good at tacking and maneuvering with the wind, or you sit still until you DO learn how).

This boat started my sailing bug. Very easy to use!
