You are looking at the Bandit 25R, a small contemporary cruiser/racer, popularly known as a "weekender"
This is the R (Racing) version of the Bandit 25, tailor-made for competitive sailing, and very well suited for tight, action packed courses. The 25 is an agile and lively boat that puts the fun back into second life sailing.
key features
-Choice of headsails, (Code Zero, Jib, Asymmetrical Spinnaker)
-BWind 2.5 and WWC environment settings, (windsetters included)
-Fast loading low landimpact highly detailed 100% mesh with custom LOD and physics models,
-BOSS Dynamic Sailing System, realistic boat behavior and great details like hoisting sails, working sheets, clamps, halyards etc.
-All working instruments, Speed, AWA, Depth, Sail Trim, Telltales, Wind Vane, real luffing on all sails,
-Autopilot, great for starting sailors, or those moments you need your attention elsewhere, like chatting or reading the map. Autopilot trims the sails, and automatically switches between the gennaker and the jib as needed.
Textures come included, and the mesh parts on the boat are modify.
Note:
All instruments and visual feedback are on the boat itself in the place you would expect it to be on a real boat. There is no floating text, and the included screen attached hud is meant as a trimming aid for you and your crew.
Strictly a two person boat!

Could Be a Lot of Fun
If you think the Loonetta is a fun and realistic sailing boat, but that it is really more a cruising boat, and want something more racy looking and appropriate at a regatta, then this would be a good choice. If you are used to the IF and you suddenly take 20% off your lap times, then you will feel like you are cheating and took a really big step backwards from the complexity of sailing. Anyway, just saying, what I felt after buying this boat, and thinking I really should have spent more time with the demo over at Dutch Harbor. It is not really a "weekender" like the IF, it is just modeled after a weekender look, but does not support camping or anything like it. I am not knocking off a star because it is my own fault that I did not scrutinize the boat more, I think it was because I own several boats by Bandit/Boss/The Mesh Shop, and expected more than this.
Love
another Great buy love learning different techniques on this little gem, especially reversing into dock space w/o motor lol.
Truly a Fun Boat
I've had a ton of fun with this little sailboat since purchasing it. It's quick and maneuverable. Worth the price. If I could change only 2 things, here's what they'd be: Avatar wouldn't switch sides when moving opposite direction, and when the sails are lowered, camera view moves to the side and I can't see where I'm coasting to. I'd also like to adjust the pose position so my butt isn't halfway in the seat. It is what it is, and it's a nice solid fun boat.
Best One...
Well I don´t like buy things without test...I tested all sail boats where work with winds and just that are perfect,I like others but don´t have demo,I never buy one without demo many things in sl are trash...
...about the boat:
- I loved the animations when turn
- I loved details,perfect done in mesh...
- Options are full functioned
Loved sail in WWC mode and Bwind have update in sims about winds,waves,etc...
- Loved the options about headsails...spin and genn for change it...
I just dislike one thing and I give 4 stars, because,I tested the new one bandit 50 and 60 didn´t saw diferent just they are more bigger, and that 25 have more animations...for me are the best one made I just dislike don´t have mod packs about colours for that but others have thousands in world...
I just think future need a update about colours change, for make your favourite boat more special not the same look likes all around in sl...or a 3rd party person do that for sell in mp because I just meet 2 people sellign and they want more than 1500L for simple texturization...
But the boat are the best I tested and bought in sl congratulations builder and scripter...
fairly good, but not perfect
the 25r is my first bandit - and yes, i also sailed the loon**** befor...
well, the bandit25 is a minor, light and agile daysailor, i was looking for a kind of it.
but maybe I'm spoiled by my first boat, the loon****, because i noticed this things:
- only one fixed camera, no changeable view point
- only one simple design - to change it you need to know about a photo editor
- only one fixed pose for relaxing, no choice and changeable
- only seat for two people - why not for a 3rd or 4th passenger in cabin or on bow?
- no eject-command or a lock for uninvited passengers
- people are often bouncing at simcrossing, i never sah it at my other boat or helicopters
- after lowering the boat is no longer maneuverable, the cam is fixed new and you can't moor it correct at moorings
the bandit 25r is called "race", but i have no idea why, i can drive other boats fast too and sorry,
but one can belive nearly, the "race" is only a signification for a slim downed version.
features like autopilot or wind settings other boats have too, i think it should be standart in this price range.
in spite of everything the bandit25 is one of the best boats in these category one can get here
(i didn't found better one) and after change the textures and using an external cam hud (thank you, alyxx! ;) ) i like it very much and it's my favorite boat now.
at last i expected a bit more for this price; i only can pick here whole stars and so i give four (maybe in the hope for an update...), but as a matter of fact i would give no more than three and a half.

2 Thumbs UP !!
I usually buy motor boats, but have had my eye on this Bandit 25R the whole time Analyse was working on it. There is something very special about the design that captivates my interest. Today, I thought to go to Dutch Harbor and just try the demo, with the expectation to make a total fool of myself trying to look like I know what I am doing in a sail boat. I got in the demo, and got it started. The Bandit 25R actually has an autopilot feature, that makes sailing this boat perfect for novice sailing. Of course, Analyse, being like the best of the best, when it comes to Pre Sale and After Sale support, was right by my side in an IM, helping me alone the way, and I gotta say, sailing this Bandit 25R is quite an enjoyable experience for a person that never sailed in SL before. I was doing it with ease. At one point of using the rezzed demo, I for some reason, was trying to sail against the wind, and was not moving at all at that point, so I told Analyse, and she told me that at any point of your sailing, you can change the wind direction yourself, by simply typing E, W, N, or S, or any of the in between combinations, and instantly, the boat will react to the new wind direction, and away you go.
Naturally after that experience, I had to go buy one. Then I went to laured Cabassoun, who sells paint themes for the Bandit 25R, for really affordable prices. I paid L$650 for the paint theme. Yay, I get to go Saturday morning sailing in Second Life with a brand new make and model sail boat, and a new paint job. Who's the man ? lol
Go get you one. You will really like it.
