Looks good. Very well done.
Looks good. Very well done. However a few things need to be addressed. First some of the channel for the live tv do not work in world. Have no idea why they were even added. A lot of effort was obviously put in to the menu which is why I five starred it, but it does need some additional work & touch ups done to it. However I do not agree with the price going up from $99 lindens to $199 lindens. You want to buy this TV if you want to support this creator and like her work. She is very talented and does deserve the support.
That having been said I got to follow up with a few disclaimers for people about media in general when it comes to Second Life. Especially people new to the grid. With the new changes that LL forced on everyone trying to virtue signal and champion a cause they essentially killed any and all real original media on the grid. You are not going to find anything original on grid any more that you can't already find in a free TV. That's just the stone cold reality of it.
The other thing is LL is talking about using AI to police IP's on grid and monitoring the media we all watch. Which means AI will be running the already broken ban system Second Life has in place with the intent of legally prosecuting their own residents who pay them money on this platform. Which means an increase in an already long existing line of wrongful bans. Something they themselves have actually banned residents for in the past.
If you are not bothered by the aspects of LL potentially putting IP AI monitoring in place & having your privacy invaded by them & absolutely just want media in Second Life. Then the BellaTECH Legal TV is definitely the way to go. Starlet Whimsy is a reputable creator in SL & has been so for many years now. She is one of only two media content creators that I would personally trust on SL currently.
The benefit to buying this product is peace of mind & a menu system already set up & in place. Good luck & stay safe everyone. ;)
it's a deal for 99 Linden
I rated this TV and number three. I did this because it only does half of what it says. It will do. Still at the price of 99 Linden you can access a lot of content. Much of the TV requires that you login to the app such as Roku TV, Pluto TV and YouTube just to name three of them. I could not access a movie on demand. However, there was a lot of TV content that you can access. Live TV on Pluto, and other live TV apps. The YouTube app, of course, said I needed to sign in, however when I logged in and out, I would sometimes get a different response and it would not demand that I login. Either way is good for 99 Linden for sure.
my opinion:
ok i bought this so that my sl bf could maybe work. all the others we have tried he has had trouble with.
when i opened before the update i was surprised at the ease of everything was.
they asked for honest reviews or responses.. so i gave them mine. i also got on my tablet searching 'free streaming tv' sites. and gave them several.
as for the instructions. they were included. i feel that even a 5 year old could set it up with no problem at all. so undoubtably someone hasn't looked nor read the instructions that were in the box.
so i feel that instead of being negative, why not give suggestions on how it could be improved or other free streaming tv sites so that they can be added at a future date. all it takes is a little time and effort on 'your' part.
Even my sl bf can work this and usually it takes him a long time to pick up something new..our main problem is that alot of things aren't available in aussie
Now I have not tried the 'sharing' feature out yet but plan on it soon.
i do not usually give reviews but thought i would this time. me n bf really like this tv and hope a lot more channels will be added at a future date n time.
