Can't we just get a single part skin?
I figured with the impalement of BOM we'd get back to sing part system skins, but instead you use tattoo layers and not a true skin. Love the skin, but you are wasting my tattoo layers for the skin. Anything to cause a customer to buy x + y + z to get a full product. I like the product but it could easily be made as a system skin or a single new Universal Layer.
A work of art - but hits the uncany valley
(Using with Catwa Shaheen). The level of detail in this skin is truly amazing, near-photographic quality, it truly is a work of art and the best mature skin I've seen. I'll concur with a previous reviewer who noted that the baked-in shadows on the brow and side of the nose are distinctly darker on one side than the other, which looks slightly odd in certain lighting conditions. This is the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars but is a minor issue not significant enough to put me off buying.
I bought Tone 1; this tone is light but not extremely pale, tending towards rose grey, but obviously tintable with the Catwa hud. I found the Birth range in general tends towards too dark for a redhead like me but this tone works well with a little added yellow/orange in the tint to raise the saturation a bit.
If anything, this skin is TOO good because when compared with everything else I'm wearing (hair, clothes) it's so much superior in texturing it makes everything else look rather cartoony. It does kind of hit the uncanny valley a little. But the rest of SL will surely catch up to this standard sooner or later.
Too many shadows.
This skin is really amazing but suffers from having shadows from the brow and nose "baked in" to the skin. It's a really odd effect that ruins what could have been one of the best male skins ever. I prefer to have neutral lighting and minimal shadows on my skin since I take photos and use shadows in them. This skin just looks "different" from everything else and that difference is so dramatic that it detracts from the over all look. Hopefully this creator will make another skin with no/minimal shadows painted onto the skin.
A piece of art!
This one is just the most beautiful skin that I ever seen in sl, its so realistic and detailed! I loved the work, for me is just too old for my style of avatars, but my friends loved it aswell and bought it! I'll keep looking for your future content, I'm very hyped heheh :D
