Multi-level menu theme texture change, for furniture. It can be integrated with AVsitter (and other scripts that support linked messages, like MLP).
Very easy to use theme creator auxiliary tool, included.
IMPORTANT: This version DOES support materials. All parameters under normal, specular and alpha ARE supported. There's a non-materials version, under related items.
If you don't know what do we mean when we talk about "materials" in SL, check this article from the Knowledge Base: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Materials-Normal-and-Specular-Mapping/ta-p/2034625

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!
I've been building in SL ...under another avi name:P for years and have made tons of furniture using MLP but have changed over to AVsitter because...I hate pose balls. I wanted to be able to offer more variety to my customers and that variety was in the form of being able to change textures on the furniture. This system, works flawlessly ( as long as you don't do as I did and misspell the note card name required text:P). Its as easy as it gets. Drag in tool, change texture, hit button, copy chat to note card and then drop in the Materials module (for AVsitter) if that's what you use and....BOOM...done. Yes there are a couple details in there i didn't mention that the other reviewers already stated but it truly is incredibly simple IF you just follow the easy instructions. I hate reading instructions so I am thinking of making a video for those out there like me that are kinesthetic (yes that is a real word) learners to watch and do. Truly greatful to Auryn for this awesome tool!
I love you!
I have been searching like CRAZY for something like this...it worked flawlessly on the first try. Directions were easy to follow. Not a single issue. Texture switch is smooth. Thank you so much, I could kiss you right now I'm so thrilled haha.
Best texture changing script I've used by far.
Awesome customer service. The best part of this script is it can be used easily with AVsitter. It's very versatile too. I use it for my pools and furniture. Thank you for the script.
This is the best and the easiest Texture Changer
Firstly, read everything that Sy Beck says, he covers everything.
I have another Theme texture changer which is ok but you have to manually put all the UUIDs in a notecard. After reading the instructions on the link provided, they do look complicated but Auryn makes them so easy to follow with picture examples, I managed to complete it within 30 minutes and it was up and working! Usually it would take me half a day.
I am excited about this script because there are so many things I can use it for.
Thank you Auryn for making my SL so much easier.
The best texture changer...?
Well I certainly think it's the best one around at the moment. I bought this a couple of weeks ago on the basis that the creator has a very good reputation as a scripter and creator within the community and for the sheer amount of utility and versatility that the product boasts.
Let me point out now that I am no prolific creator, but I enjoy what I do and take my time to produce my best and I like to have the best tools available to me. So let's quickly run over the features that attracted me in the promotional blurb.
First off it works across all model materials i.e. prims, sculpts and mesh; combinations of them and for multiple parts within your model whatever the composition. Secondly, it easily integrates with other popular scripts that you may use in your creations such as; RLV or AV Sitter giving a single gateway menu for your users to access all script commands. Lastly, as far as the advertising is concerned it fully supports "Materials" enhanced textures (normal, specular and alphas) as well as the vanilla diffuse textures that you would expect.
So I unpacked it and found it surprisingly lightweight in contents; essentially just three scripts, license notes and a link to Black Tulip's webpage for the product's setup and instructions. Once I got to the webpage I'll admit my heart sank at the pages of documentation before me. However, it wasn't a reflection of the complexity of the product just a thorough documentation to ensure that even the slowest ship in the convoy can keep up.
In essence, name your model, drop a recording script in, drop your UV map in, copy the output in local chat to a Notecard and then rinse and repeat for each UV map to a new Notecard until you have loaded all the UV maps you want, delete recording script, drop in changer script and you're done!
I thoroughly recommend this product to anyone, professional or amateur builder, and readily give it 5 stars for simplicity of use and overall utility.
