The Bright Landmarker is a single sculpted prim in the iconic red push-pin shape of the Second Life landmark.
Anyone clicking the landmarker will receive a landmark, or a notecard, or a folder full of goodies: whatever you put inside for them.
Simply right-click the landmarker, and click "Edit..." from the pop-up menu, then click on the "Contents" tab (on the right).
In here, you will see a script called "- Put things to give out in here!" Just drop whatever you wish to distribute into this space. You can give out items of any kind providing they carry copy and transfer rights.
To set the floating text over the landmarker, click the "General" tab (on the left). Put your floating text into the "Description:" field, with a "/" wherever you would like to start a new line, as in "Click here for/landmarks and gifts!".
If the landmarker is giving out more than one item, it will put them in a folder, and the folder will have the same name as the landmarker object itself, so change the "Name:" to something suitable, like "Free gifts for visitors!".
To configure your lanmarker, click it and hold down your mouse button (for about a second) until this menu pops up:

Click [Notify On] or [Notify OFF] to enable or disable the sending of IMs each time the landmarker is clicked.
Click [Silent], [Beep], ['Push...'], or ['Best thing'] to select the sound which will be heard when the landmarker is clicked (you will hear a sample as you select them).
Click [Yellow]...[Blue] to choose the colour of the floating text.
TIPS
* Don't just give out a landmark to your store: a notecard with a little information and a free gift are more likely to be remembered and prompt a visit.
* Create a clear and inviting "Click here" message: let people know what they are getting, and that it is free!
