This product was released in March 2020, during which many countries were readying their populations to cope with the CoronaVirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
It is a virtual medical face mask, designed to protect the wearer from airborne infection, and to protect others from a wearer who may already have contracted the virus.
As so many masks are now appearing in television news reports, Bright wanted to bring this icon of our times to Second Life.
Begin by rezzing the "Bright Mask boxed", right-clicking, clicking "Open", and clicking "Copy To Inventory".
This will create a folder called "Bright Mask boxed" in your Inventory. Inside, you'll find a notecard (containing this guide), and the "Bright Mask" object itself.
Simply click it twice to wear it. By default, it will attach to your nose.
Click the mask to display a menu with the following options:
COLOUR: Click this to display a choice of colours, and choose your favourite.
SIZE: Click for a choice of sizes, from 50% of the original size to 200%.
Once you have set the size, feel free to adjust the masks position so that it best fits your face.
SOUND: Click for a choice of different breathing sounds: or to silence the sound of breathing
STRAP: Use this to set the length of the strap: from very short (1) to very long (10) or even a complete loop (FULL).
Please note that because avatars heads are all shaped differently, the full loop may not fit all: being too small (so disappearing into the head) or too small (leaving a gap). You may get a better visual result by using a shorter strap, which extends only to your ears, or such that it disappears under your hair.
