I can only imagine that creating realistic looking beards must be very dificult. In theory it may sound simple; just a little bit of hair how hard can it be? It can be hard as I can imagine. Real life wigs and beards for movies are made by adding one hair at a time to make it look realistic and natural. Of course this is not doable in SL but without being a creator myself I can also imagine that it must be possible to make somewhat realistic looking beards in 3D, meaning not just as tattoo layers.
These beards however fails to deliver that natural and realistic look.. I'm sorry if I sound harsh but to me it looked like someone had sprayed glue all over my face and then threw a handful of cottonballs at it afterwards. At least on the bigger beards, the smallest version of the goatees looked ok. And yes this comes from a man sporing a fullbeard in real life so perhaps this is the reason for my critique ;-)
The creator is not without skills though so perhaps next time the beards from Caligula will work out :-)
