One of my favorite films is "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" starring Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison. It's the story of a widow who buys Gull House, haunted by the ghost of it's previous owner, the gruff Captain Gregg. This is a reconstruction of his telescope that stood upstairs looking out the window to the sea. The scope seems to be mounted on a binnacle, a device that housed the ships compass with metal spheres and rods inside that counteracted the effect of a metal hull on the magnetic compass. It's the perfect touch for your beach house or vacation home to give it that old nautical look.

The scope is in two pieces, but packaged as one. Make sure you are in edit mode when you remove this from your inventory and set out. The top part with telescope rotates with the commands "/7 left" or "/7 right." Because of this, the scope part is a separate object from the base.

Inside the eyepiece is a slideshow of various sailing ships and tropical islands, a reminder of Captain Gregg's past sailing adventures.

It's 66 prims total. It'd designed to take advantage of better video cards to show the shiny effect of textures. As a result, the metal looks duller with weak 64 meg video cards.

Mody, transfer, no copy.
