Inspired by the amazing pipe organ on board the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Like the original, ours is scaled to fit in smaller quarters, including airships and submersibles. Custom sculpts help keep prim count manageable, give the many pipes and pedals; custom scripting helps boost sound performance. (An an original creation, this organ is NOT based on a freebie.)
The organ features enough animations to allow both you and a friend to enjoy it. While one sits on the bench to play, the other can choose from 4 other poses, leaning against the organ or perching on top. As always, we have worked hard to make the animations both entertaining and natural.
The music, of course, is Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, a favorite of Captain Nemo himself. When the force is with you (see note below), this piece should have enough punch to ward off even the giant squid - cam in close for the biggest sound.
Legend has it that Nemo's face sometimes appeared in the mirror atop his organ, even in his absence. To honor that legend, touch this organ's mirror to glimpse visions of Captain Nemo and the Nautilus, including some original illustrations from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
Perms: All items Copy only. If you need tweaks to fit the organ into your space, we're happy to help.
Prims: Organ 31, Bench 3, Dais 2.
NOTE on music in SL: Lag and other factors can cause SL music to play in fits and starts or even go quiet. Our organ is specially scripted to help reduce problems, but some will be unavoidable. It often helps to let music play for a few minutes and then stop and restart it, so that more of it can come from your cache.
See item in Second LifeIts a great organ indeed!
