Great lamp with a little flaw
It's a great art deco ceiling lamp, with a little flaw.
I could have been perfectly possible to make this lamp with 0.5-1 Land Impact instead of it's current 2 Land impact. I home the vendor takes this suggestion and updates the product.
The lamp consists out of 3 linked mesh objects and 3 scripts, totaling to a 2.25 Land Impact (rounded down to 2 LI). If the object would have been been a single mesh object with 3 faces (bulb-area, the holder and the shadow) the LI from the linked objects could have been reduced from 1.5 (0.5 server weight per linked object).
The second improvement would be the scripts. With the new scripting commands it is perfectly possible to control the ceiling lamp lights by one single script using LlSetLinkPrimitiveParams or LlSetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast instead of LlSetPrimitiveParams, since each script uses 0.25 LI in the object, further reducing the LI by 0.5.
Doing so, it would be possible to reduce the land impact from 2.25 LI to 0.75 LI, resulting in 3 lamps being rezzed and linked for the price of 2 LI.
On the good side, the lamp itself is copy/mod, removing the shadow and the scripts, replacing them with your own light script can reduce the LI of the lamp to 1.25 LI (=1 LI)
