Come celebrate the Chinese New Year's eve with this specially designed dancefloor. Very nice colored and lighted lanterns will appear above the floor and slowly fly away. The dancefloor will also "flash" in a configurable manner: change its color and/or glow setting in a smooth way, either fast or slow and, while doing so, switch among the three original Chinese new year-themed textures.
When nearing midnight (or whatever date you will choose) you can trigger a countdown : the dancefloor will count every second from 10 (configurable in the notecard), with customizable messages. When reaching 0, a new special texture is applied and then included in the textures cycle.
The special texture at midnight says 2024 with a dragon (because it's the year of the dragon btw!) but this is again changed by a line in the configuration. And maybe you can expect an update for 2025 ^^.
As stated before, configuration happens in a very simple configuration notecard through a fully documented (although self-explanatory) keyword=value syntax. This includes the number of lanterns, their color, velocity etc. Or just use the default values if you do not care!
Moreover, since this object is both copyable and modifiable, you can have several copies of them side by side and even resize them if you like. The object may appear as non modifiable but it is modifiable : only the scripts and objects in inventory are not modifiable.
Number of prims : the dancefloor itself is only 1 prim. Depending on their size, the lanterns may have a land impact of 1, 2 or more prim-equivalent each.
If you have special requests for enhancements or would like advice for the configuration, feel free to e-mail me !
