The base starts with two dark wooden doors that open inward to reveal the polished stone floor and art deco lighting, This is the base for the start of a stairway that leads up past the counter weights and clock mechanisms, to a single windowless room above the clocks. From there is a door that allows access to the exterior roof. From here you can gaze down or across the city.
