Parcheesi Board Game Rules

Welcome to Parcheesi! Race your four pawns around the
board and be the first to get them all home.

Getting Started
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Sit on one of the four colored seats (Blue, Red, Yellow,
or Green) to join the game. The game begins automatically
when at least one player is seated. Empty seats can be
controlled by AI bots (configurable via menu).

How to Play
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Rolling the Dice
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
On your turn, the dice roll automatically. You'll see
your two dice values displayed above the dice.

Bringing Out Pawns
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Your pawns start off the board in your colored corner.
To bring a pawn onto the board, you must roll a 5 on
either die, OR roll dice that add up to 5. When using
both dice to make 5, both dice are consumed.

Moving Pawns
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
1. Click one of your pawns to select it (it will glow)
2. Click a die to move that pawn by the die's value
3. After using a die, it will show "Pass" — click it
to end your turn early if needed

Special Rolls
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Doubles Roll the same number on both dice and
you get another turn!

Reaching Home When a pawn reaches the final home square,
that die becomes a 10 for a bonus move.

Kicking an When you land on an opponent's pawn and
Opponent send it back, that die becomes a 20 for
a bonus move.

Kicking (Capturing)

Land on a square occupied by an opponent's pawn to send
it back to their start.

You cannot kick pawns that are on:

- Safe spots (marked squares at each corner approach)
- An opponent's entry square (where they enter the board)

Safe Spots
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

The board has 8 safe spots where pawns cannot be kicked.
These are located near each corner of the board.

The Home Stretch
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

After going around the board, your pawns enter your
colored home line. You must roll the exact number needed
to reach the final home square. If you roll too high,
you cannot move that pawn.

Winning

The first player to get all four pawns into their home
square wins!

Menu
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Clicking either the chairs or table frame will bring up
the menu (default access owner only).

Access Set who can use the menu (Owner/Group/Public)
Bots Enable or disable AI players for empty seats
Modes Toggle special game modes
Restart Reset the game to the beginning

Eat Self Mode
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
When enabled, you can kick your own pawns (sending them
back to start). This can be useful strategically but is
disabled by default.

Tips
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

- Prioritize bringing out new pawns when you roll a 5
- Use safe spots strategically to protect pawns from
being kicked
- Try to kick opponents when possible — the bonus 20
move is powerful!
- Rolling doubles can turn the tide of the game
