Game start
You can choose between 'Normal' and 'Blitz'. Normal will allow players to turn-wise select territories. Blitz will randomly assign territories to all players.

Game start - normal
Players claim a territory in turns. After all territories are claimed, players receive reinforcements to be placed on strategic places. Players reinforce in turns, one army at a time.

Game start - blitz
The board is randomly rolled and the game will start immediate.

Game play
Players play there actions in turns.

At the start of every turn, the player gets a number of enforcements, based on the number of territories that are occupied. When a player occupies a full continent, extra bonus enforcements are granted.

After applying the enforcements, the player is free to attack other players. At the end of the turn, the player can choose to move up to 7 armies to an adjacent territory* (*note, this slightly differs from the traditional rules).
When a player successfully conquers one or more territories in a turn, the player is granted a card. Cards can be exchanged for extra reinforcements. A player can posses no more than 5 cards. When defeating another player, any cards the defeated player had will be transfered to the attacker.

When attacking, you must always leave 1 army behind. When you conquer a territory, you must move with at least the number of armies you attacked with (1-3) and maximum all but one. Right after conquering, click the target territory to move more armies. This possibility is lost as soon you select another territory.

Single player mode
When playing without any human opponents, 2 random computer opponents will be assigned, and a 3-player game is started. You can choose normal and blitz start. Blitz start is recommended. Also, for single player, the extra 'solo challenge mode is available, which will pair you with no less than 5 computer players.

2-player mode
When playing with 2 players, a third computer player will be added. This computer player will actively play**. (** note, this differs from the well-known board game where the 3rd player is 'neutral').

More than 3 players
No computer players will be added. The game is limited to 9 players. Optimal number of players is 3-6.

General tactics and strategies
Attacker and defender rolls dice. The attacker only needs to join equal to to attacker, to successfully defend. Hence, given equal amount of armies, the defender has on average a slight advantage. Also, 2 or more defenders are significantly stronger than a single defender. Per attack, a maximum of 2 armies are lost, be it defender or attacker.
Continents give bonus points. Therefore, it is always good to obstruct an enemy from keeping its continent.
In general, it is wise not too attack too much. Most games start with players attacking only 1 territory, in order to posses a card. Smart use of cards can be of strategic value.

User interface
The user interface interacts intelligent with the current action. When placing or moving large number of armies, you can hold down the mouse button, instead of repeated clicking. The current selection source (where to move or attack from) is highlighted.
To deselect a source, just click it again, or select another.
If you want to exchange cards at the start of the turn, press the 'inforce' button. The button is always highlighted, so your opponents will not know if you have any cards of value or not.

Reset
If players have abandoned the game, anyone can reset it to start a new. When players are still playing, the board cannot be resetted, unless by the owner. To be able to reset to board, players should refrain from touching it for approximately 1 minute, so the board will notice it is no longer in use.

A note about the AI
The AI plays at beginner level. It is useful to learn the game. Because a single player faces 2 computer opponents, conquering the world is not that easy. However, the skill of the computer player is limited, mostly because of performance limitations of LSL scripts, and because human players will see certain strategies way more easy than a computer.
That being said, great care has been taken creating the AI. It uses modern game design techniques, and computer players will actively attack other players' continents, whilst defending their own.
Within the limits SL places, the computer player should give a reasonable challenge for everyone; though serves no more than a training purpose. The best challenge is a human opponent!

This game is incredible! It is the classic old game of Risk, where you conquer the world with a very simple, but dynamic game system. It can be played with human opponents or solitaire against up to 5 artificial intelligence opponents. I play the solitaire vs 5 AI opponents, as I have not found any human opponents yet. This solitaire mode is a great challenge that is usually won, but can be lost too.

I would like to try and play a game with one other human opponent and one or more AI opponents. That eliminates the 'alliance' strategies and pits just player against player.

Hoping someone would like to play. IM me. doc.
