NEW UPDATE!

Consul Pust Fishing Trawler
Historical recreation by Moo Spyker

Version 1.1 Updates:
- Prim counts are cut DRASTICALLY while driving now. Certain physics shapes turn off while your anchors are up. It's now 315 prims while driving vs 497!
- Every script is now script profiled. Brought the script memory usage from from 3000 kb to 702 kb!!! Makes sim crossing all that easier.
- Replaced the entire main body with a new mesh to fix the physics shape causing you to "float" over the deck.
- Removed and cleaned up some unnecessary scripts.
- Added "Fixed" camera angle button. The camera will now stay where it currently is and you can keep controlling the boat!
- Added "Group" in the privacy menu
- Added "Moo's Universal Gestures"
Wear the gestures and the controls are as follows:
- F5 or F6 - Play bell sound
- F7 - Lights on
- F8 - Lights off
- F9 - Default camera
- F10 - Driving camera
- F11 - Fixed camera
- F12 - High Angle camera
- Shift + F5 - Anchor menu
- Shift + F6 - Sail menu
- Shift + F7 - Load menu
- Set realistic "Density" setting. Hard for others to push the boat around now.
- New poseball security. Seated unauthorized AV's will be throw over board, same if they attempt to sit.

Please IM me "Moo Spyker" for any bugs that you find so I know what needs fixing! Thanks

This is a German fishing trawler from the 1920's. It is steam powered and was used to drag nets out behind the ship to catch fish. Not much info is around on this ship. A company makes a paper model kit for this ship as well as a site offers a 3 page blueprint set, which is what I used to make this. Searching around on a German forum I found this bit of translated data on the ship kinda hard to make out but here it is:
"The original the sheet gives the following data: The Consul blows 1919 on the Lauenburger Hitzler throwing for the rust ochers deep-sea fishing AG was built. Is from 1920 to 1925 the Consul blow from Rostock on fishing gone. In the year 1932 the ship was sold after Lorient, and drove from now on as „ Monique Andree “. In the Second World War the ship was used at the French and British navy as auxiliary sweeper. After return at France the ship was used still until 1957 for fishing and thereafter broken off."

Features:
- Dimensions 52 x 10 x 26
- Very realistic "Moo's Real Boat" scripts
- Single linkset so it crosses sims with ease!
- Notecard driven you can adjust EVERY value for the motion
- Lots of moving parts (guages, wheel, rudder, prop, throttle)
- Realistic sound effects
- Whislte and Bell sound effects
- Navagation lights (on and off)
- Sails turn on and off
- Seats 8 (can easily add or copy more seats)
- 497 PE (prim equivs) when physical
- 309 PE when non physical

2. Once running use the aarow or WASD keys to controls
3. There are 3 speeds forward and 1 in reverse. You can see the current speed in mouselook on the throttle stick.
4. Pressing C or PAGE DOWN with then turn the engine off.

this build, is stunning.....
Turning radius: Like a real ship. you NEED room for this one.
Speed: There is no such thing as playing the super trawler on speed... THIS, drives like the real deal.
Sounds: REALLY nice sounds. Not too manufactured, and not too loud. Personally, i like low pitched engine sounds, thanks to RL issues, but still, pitch of this boat, matches perfectly the sounds of an engine deep down below deck.
Handling charactaristics: Sails like a real ship sails o.O

all in all... this ship, is a "MUST HAVE" in ANY sailors inventory.
full speed across 15 sims, with border sailing, junction sailing (crossing in a sin cornor) ... NO issues in the blake sea at all...
now, i need to make the creator make me a custom one, cause once you all learn this mans work, SL will be flooded o.o .... DARN GOOD BUILD! ... +20 if i could o.o

This trawler is one of the best driveable steamship in sl! Highly detailed, nice textures, nice sound. Very great work and is worth the money. I wish Moo Spyker would build more ships of this type... :-)

Great work

The navigation is smooth and realistic, the boat is crafted nicely. I would had put 5 stars if there was a captain's cabin but definitely a great product at a cheap price.

Just add some fishy salty air, the smell of a tarred hull, sounds of seagulls and and wind.

I remember the tar scented air of Rotterdam harbours as a child. My dad was a painter on boats like this. (boats or ships...what's the difference?..Boys have boats, men have ships...aye aye Capt'n! )

You wont remember the lindens spent on this because it has everything your mind needs to fantasize the rest. The other reviews say it all. Very realistic in the motion. It even lists slightly when changing course. No problems with sim crossings. In the sailing environment of the Blake Sea..it's a looker. Peeps just got to have a closer look. Here's to you Moo, as I take a swig of quality spiced Jamaican rum.

Such an amazing build with a high amount of detail. Great fun to be in and use...drove from Zee West marina @ Gladzyck to the United Sailing sims with no problems! Crossed sims with no problems and fast. I did notice the seating for the Captain and passenger in cabin is a bit odd ( it doesnt effect the boat for me)...not sure if im doing anything wrong. In anycase I recommend this for any SL boater out there. I hope to more ships and or yachts from this maker :)

I love this ship saw it in world during one of the boat shows at the Tradewinds Yacht Club in dex. finally saved up enough L$ to get one and wow it was worth it. oh on a side note you would not happen to know where the boarding ramp that was used for the show came from?
