This table is an example of the American Craftsman, sometimes also called Mission style of furniture. The table as packaged is large enough to serve as a dining table for six, and can be resized into a writing or hall table.

Craftsman style furniture was extremely popular during the late 19th and early 20th century in the United States. This style of furniture is often popularly referred to as “Mission Style,” and is an American extension of the British Arts and Crafts movement from the same time period. Craftsman furniture is simple in design, high quality in construction, and uses natural materials like hardwoods and leathers. Unadorned, plain surfaces are sometimes enhanced by stains and dyes, but these are never allowed to obscure the grain of the wood or pattern of the leather.

Timeless Decor currently makes furniture of this style in both oak and cherry wood finishes.
