Crown - Queen Mary of Modena Set: CROWN, DIADEM & CIRCLET

As part of their European heritage range Ballinger & Hallard Designs present this carefully researched and crafted Queen Mary of Modena' Set, all of which have been modeled on rl items in the Tower of London.

The Set contains a full State Crown , a circlet version of that Crown and a State Diadem .

The rl StateCrown first used by Queen Mary of Modena at her coronation in 1685. Thereafter it was used by Queen Regnants Queen Mary II and Queen Anne and Queen Consorts Queen Caroline (wife of George II) and Queen Charlotte (wide of King George III). In the 19th century though it fell out of favour and has not been used since. In addition to the crown, a circlet version (without cap or arches) is also included along with a pose stand.

The State Diadem was also made for Queen Mary of Modena and was used by her on the way to her coronations. Thereafter it was used throughout the 18th century but fell out of use in the 19th.
