The original Cyborg Hair was created by Sarah Hollwood. Alien Sun, our keyboardist, bought a copy in 2009 and it became integral to her look over the years. Fast forward 16 years. Sculpted prims have come and gone. Mesh is now the norm and the original prim-only version of the Cyborg Hair had its limitations even after constant modification.

So we made a decision to pull it apart and rebuild it from the ground up as mesh or at least a collection of mesh objects as none of us have a clue how to create mesh in Blender. Instead, we rebuilt it prim-by-prim and then converted it into a collection of mesh parts using the NaoNao prim-to-mesh generator.

In keeping with the spirit of Sarah's original creation, we have kept a few of the original craptastic lo-res textures while adding a few third-party textures that are readily available in Second Life. There's even a couple of fades I created myself in Paintshop Pro. Something that I never thought I could master.

Marvel at the retro flexi-prim hair strands!

Arguably you could say it has become more of a cybernetic bonnet than a cyborg hairpiece but no doubt you'll find interesting ways to repurpose it to meet your needs.

The headpieces are all fully MOD + COPY and we strongly recommend that you acquaint yourself with the stretch function in the Second Life object editor as the 2025 TIB Mod remake is based on Alien Sun's personal Cyborg Hair headpiece which has been resized and modified many times over the years resulting in a creation that is probably a bit too large for most heads. Feel free to pull them apart to study, rebuild or do whatever you want. Just be sure to keep a safe copy for reference.

Please, please, please keep a copy of the delivery box in a safe folder in your inventory. That way, you'll always be able to access a fresh copy of your Cyborg Hair headpiece if you inadvertently destroy / damage / delete the one you're currently using.

Tech support? Yeah, I guess so. Though for those of you who know me, you'll know that I spend more time creating music in RL than doing stuff in Second Life though I will do my best whenever I'm in-world.
