Jumping sideways : the impossible move ?
You may have noticed that you can move forward or backward by pressing up and down key while you are jumping. Why the same thing is not possible sideways ? If you push left or right key you don't move aside…
However, this movement is very important for a tactical reason : you may want to shoot while dodging and avoiding incoming bullets or arrows...
This would help you a lot to gain supremacy on the ground … and SL experience would be much greater
That's why I wrote this script, long time ago.
It's more than easy to use, it is NATURAL
- Wear the sidejump on your HUD (up-left by default)
- touch the HUD to turn it ON or OFF
Moving :
- in mouselook : press <- or -> while you're jumping
- 3rd person view : press SHIFT + <- or SHIFT + ->
Guess what happens... you will move sideways in the air. This does not replace skill but it helps...
Important :
As a tactical move enhancer, it has to stay fair. The effect is calculated to give a realistic movement to your jump so it should not be considered as a cheat in some sim rules.
- That's the reason why you will not be allowed to cumulate the effect of more than 1 sidejump HUD to move faster.
- If you attempt to wear another sidejump HUD, the first one will detach from your avatar.
