The nesting boxes each include a pair of static birds. One is sitting on the roof and the other is perched by the entrance hole. Bird sounds also play - simply left click on the bird to start and stop the bird call.
Multiple texture faces are available on the boxes, enabling you to customise them to suit your environment. However, I would recommend leaving the bird textures alone.
