Ridiculously high prim count and no provided textures
These guitars look very nice but have two serious flaws, the first is the land impact of 40. This both adds about 4,000 to your avatar complexity when worn (which means you jelly bean much faster in crowded venues), and makes them, at best. impractical to use as any form of display. There are plenty of guitars just as nice-looking in SL that have a LI of 1-4, so there's no real reason for this enormously high prim count (you can see the ridiculously high number of tingles used to create the face, and so on). Second, the guitars, though "full perm" come with no textures and the entire guitar itself is a single texture face. This means that any texture applied to the front of the guitar can occupy only about 20% of any 1024 x 1024 texture you might want to apply (making it, in effect, smaller than a 256x128 pixel texture). So, no complex textures on the front of this guitar.Or the head, or the neck.Roughly 75% of the texture space for this guitar is taken up with over-large textures for the machines, strings and other inconsequential bits. So, if all you want is an un-scripted guitar to wear for a performance, maybe this could be it (but beware your complexity levels). Otherwise, this is pretty useless.
Not suitable for my purposes
Oh, well, you win some, you lose some. I expected to be able to select faces like I did on one of my no-transfer guitars so I could make one for a friend, but this is one prim and requires a multiple texture. (I'm new to texturing.) It has a nice shape, but don't expect a quick and easy re-texturing job. It's also not hollow. Of course you can always add animations and make it a quickie. I'm disappointed, but it wasn't very expensive. Note to self; always insist on a demo.
