This is a programmable LightGlobe with modifiable Options.
Useful for house, shop or outdoor lighting, or special effects lighting for your photos.
Description:
This LightGlobe can be used for local lighting. The Owner can modify the globe as desired. Note: Be sure the (Edit/Ctl-P) "Preferences/Graphics Detail/Nearby Local Lights" option is checked on.
The light can be set to turn on and off depending if it is day or night. Note: The automatic day/night detection is for the Sun Region Default and is Not effected by forcing the Sun state in the viewer.
The light can be turned on or off by touching the globe.
Options:
An Option Card allows for the folowing settings: (The default value is shown after each option's keyword.)
Only_Owner=yes - Set who can switch the LightGlobe on and off via Touch.
Manual_OnOff=yes - Allows switching on and off via Touch.
Automatic_OnOff=yes - Allows switching on and off depending on Sun position.
SunCheck_Minutes=3 - How often to check the Sun's position in minutes.
Sun_Height=5 - Sun's height angle in degrees to swith on or off.
(These next 4 options can be overridden by Editing the LightGlobe, Edit/More/Features/Light...)
Light_Colour=W - Set the light colour. W = white.
Light_Intensity=1 - How bright is the light. 1= maximum brightness.
Light_Range=20 - Distance the light shines. 20 = a radius of 20 meters.
Light_Falloff=0.00 - Rate of light fall off. 0.00 is dimishing brighness at
maximum radius.
Using the LightGlobe:
a. Open your inventory and look in Objects for item "Dina's LightGlobe".
b. Select the "Dina's LightGlobe" item, and drag it to the ground/floor near where you are standing. (Be sure that you are somewhere you can build on.) This will "rez" the item/object so you can work with it.
c Right Click on the LightGlobe and select Open from the Pie Menu.
d. Double click on the "Dina's LightGlobe Options Notecard" to open and to edit the options if you wish. Be sure to Save if you change any options. (Note: Please wait until all the options have displayed before using the LightGlobe.)
e. Use Edit to position the LightGlobe or change any of the light options under Features.
f. Either wait for the Sun to set or rise to activate the light or touch the LightGlobe to manually switch it on. If you want the light only be controlled manually, change the Automatic_OnOff=yes option "yes" to "no" in the Options Notecard.

I have purchased dozens of these lights. I use them in all my builds that require lights. I have used them as globes, boxes and cylinders; with and without my own textures. They are so versitle and inexpensive. My only wish would be for there to be a copy version available.
