What does it do?

Mailboxes, dropboxes, application boxes or ad boards are common objects in clubs, shops and other venues throughout Second Life. Checking them for new submissions is tedious though, and requires you to log in regularly, as IM notifications are notoriously unreliable.

This universal plugin works with any dropbox, mailbox, application box or ad board of any manufacturer (provided they allow 3rd party scripts), and send an instant notification to your Discord channel, including the name of the notecard or texture, and the name of the person who dropped it.
In most cases, a preview of the notecard or texture gets displayed right in your Discord channel, giving you even more context. As a side effect, your Discord-channel provides a log of all notecard or texture submissions to your mailbox, dropbox, application box or ad board.
Finding out who sent the notecard

Unfortunately, the Linden Scripting Language (LSL) provides no direct way to determine the name of the agent who dropped a notecard or a texture into a submission box. This script uses various ways to chose the most likely person who could have submitted the item. If the script is not 100 % certain about the originator, it outputs the name along with a probability percentage. The lower the percentage, the less likely the selected name is correct. However, please keep in mind that even a low probability can be spot on!
Conditions for a preview

Whenever possible, the system shows a preview in your Discord channel (unless you set the config option verbose to false). There are two conditions that will PREVENT a preview from being shown:
Notecards MUST NOT contain embedded items like landmarks, calling cards, textures, sounds, animations, or objects. As soon as a single item is inside the notecard, it could not be read in its entirety. See https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-234327 for more information.
Textures/photos have to be FULL PERM, with copy/transfer/modify permissions set. This is a security feature of Second Life, intended to prevent unauthorized copying and usage of 3rd party textures.
In each case, this system will send a notice to your channel that a preview can not be shown.
Paranoid or sloppy creators

We know of at least one mailbox system that actively or passively kicks 3rd party scripts out once they are added to the object. This is mostly due to sloppy programming: Instead of deleting notecards only, it removes everything but itself from the object. This could be easily fixed by the creator. The other possibility is that it is done on purpose, because the creator does not want 3rd party scripts inside. In either case, there's nothing we can do about it. If you encounter this issue then please either contact the creator of your mailbox, or change the mailbox supplier. We have provided a sample notice you can send to the creator (copy it into a notecard of your own).

If you encounter the above mentioned behavior with your dropbox, you can use the full-perm sample mailbox script we provided with this product. The script is based on the example given in the Second Life wiki, but trimmed down to the bare essentials (the script in the wiki is a bit complex).

Rather an interesting one
i got this one as i was curious about the whole posting the notecards to discord part, with having job applications come in i thought it would make it a bit easier for not just myself to see the notecards but co-workers as well, unfortunately it doesn't post the full notecard BUT, it still notifies of when it was put in so that i can go and grab it out as soon as possible which is quite handy.

If you have a sim with a mailbox, that's pretty helpful, you'll get a notification immediately as soon as someone drop a notecard into it in your discord channel. Very useful and fast addon
Very useful addon for mailboxes to get a preview of the dropped Notecard. The addon is very fast and provides information in Discord without delay. I have adapted my mailboxes in the Marketplace so that this addon works with them.
