The drawbridge is a faithful reproduction of the device used in many castles and fortresses in the Middle Ages.
The building is based on plans of the architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, famous for his many restorations of French medieval constructions.
* High quality motion and soundtrack.
The drawbridge is fully operational and "low lag" scripted. The motion was designed to be both fluid and realistic, with a gradual acceleration synchronized with a high quality soundtrack.
* Many options.
The opening/closing is triggered by a simple click by authorized persons.
A long click on the drawbridge allows the owner to open a menu to choose options:
- Access options: everyone, owner only, group, and/or access list
- For more realism, in a role play context, it is moreover possible to restrict the bridge access only to avatars located inside the castle and within a 7m range of the drawbridge.
- Self-closing option, with adjustable delay ranging from 10 seconds to 5 minutes (The self-closing will not start as long as there are still avatars on the bridge).
* The reusable, very low prim, build parts can easily be integrated into your own build.
There are two distinct linksets:
- One for the moving parts (bridge, counterweight, chains) = 5 PE
- One for wall, crenel and gate arch = 5 PE
Only 10 PE for the whole!
A simple click on the "Position" button of the menu allows the owner to automatically move the drawbridge linkset to the right position/rotation, relative to the gate arch.
* Permissions.
- For the drawbridge linkset : "full perm" (except the scripts "copy/no modify/transfer").
- For wall linkset (wall, crenel and arch portal) : "full perm".
* Textures.
To make the provided wall match the rest of your castle, you can either retexture your castle with the texture included in the pack, or retexture the provided entrance wall with your own textures.
For all meshes the UV map pattern is included in the pack, so you can create your own textures if you wish.
