General:
- This object generates pieces of garbage or newspaper continuously which drift in the wind
along the specific direction in each period.
- Each piece executes self-destruction after the assigned lifetime.
- If the piece encounters an avatar during the drifting motion, it will start to follow and stick on the avatar
and plays crumpling sound. It will kill itself after some seconds.
- The main thrower object is modifiable(texture, etc.).
Adjustment:
- The owner can adjust:
the axis of direction, range, period, lifetime and the sensor radius of each piece.
- The owner and the group member of the same group with the thrower object can reset or adjust it.
(Check 'Share with group' property of the object from General tab of Edit(Ctrl+3) menu.)
- You do not need to open the script to reset or apply the property change. You can change the
properties just by modifying the in-line 'Description' (Edit > General > Description) of the object.
How to operate:
- You can adjust the preferences simply by editing the 'Description' of the object:
Edit(Ctrl+3) > General > Description.
- The description line can take the following format; 6 entities in total:
(x):(2):(3):(4):(5):(6)
-------------
(x): axis of the trip. ("x" or "y" or "z".)
(2): distance of the trip in meters. ('-80' means 80m to the decreasing direction.)
(3): lifetime of each piece in sec. ('100' means 100s.)
(4): sensor radius of each piece in meters. ('2.5' means 2.5m.)
(5): lifetime of each piece after sticking on an avatar in sec. ('10' means 10s.)
(6): rezzing period in sec. ('9' means 9s.)
For example, writing
y:80:100:2.5:10:9
in 'Description' line implies:
"The thrower will rez a drifting object in every 9s along the direction of y-axis, and each piece will trip
+80m during 100s, and the sensoring radius of each piece will be 2.5m and it will execute
self-destruction in 10s after sticking to an avatar."
Tip:
- You can add your own pieces of flexi prim newspapers, garbage bag, etc. by copying the script
contained in each piece.
