This ears are ajustable, you can edit it. To edit, click on it and choose the option "EDIT". Change color, turn it more big, etc...
Make your avatar ear size 0 so the new ears will fit perfect.
Make a copy before to edit. This items are copy, modify, no transfer. It comes with 4 pairs of different ears.

I was loking for a way to display jewelry and thought I would try adding ears to a "head" I created. Did not work. probably okay for another use, but they just didn't really sit right.
