EDWARDIAN
Different research sources list different dates for the Edwardian fashion period. The gowns are referred to as "Edwardian" because of King Edward of England taking the throne in 1901, but some sources consider the period to being a year earlier. Following the Edwardian era comes the Art Nouveau era, which many sources consider to be the later Edwardian period.
In this era, panniers were no longer worn under the dresses. Gone are the bustles, although some ladies who were narrow in the hips would still wear the pillow like attachment over the corset to give the impression they were fuller in the hips. Many of these dresses also began to raise their hemlines a bit - allowing a view of the shoe or boot (but NEVER the ankle! which would be far too naughty).
Many of these dresses strongly resemble actual historical gowns in museum collections, where others are more original creations of mine. All of them are historically accurate.
It's worth mentioning here that the gowns in my "1899" collection are also Edwardian, because I launched that collection for a Role Play venue where the date of historical events was set at 1899, but the management asked the role play members to wear Edwardian Fashion. I am now labeling all of my Edwardian dresses as "Edwardian"
The main difference between my newest Edwardian fashions and those previously released in the "1899" collection are the skirts. This dress does not have a sculpted skirt or a train. Instead, there are three sets of prims worn over the SL system skirt: one in the back, and one on each side.

They are Modifiable, to assure that any size and shape of avatar can have an accurate fit for their personal shape.
