This Ship's Compass is modeled after an original early 17th century ship compass. It is highly detailed (desk model - 24 prims, Pedestal model - 31), with original textures.
This set has two versions - the first is a desk model, meant for sitting on a level surface, such as a table or desk. The second version has a pedestal that it sits on, meant to be placed on the deck of a ship.
Both versions are Copy/Modify/No-Transfer. They can be edited, despite it saying (no mod). This is due to the script being no-modify, but again has no effect on your ability to edit the compass or pedestal.
Great attention was spent on the finer details, modeling the capstans and weights, and highly detailed textures for the orthogonal sights and compass dial.
The attention to detail, along with the historic look of this compass, makes this a fine addition to any ship or houseboat, as well as a perfect gift to that special pirate you may know.
