I love this belt!
Abraxxa Anatine (EarthStones) makes very high quality SL items; everything is very well designed and scripted. The belt looks amazing and the sizing script works fantastic.
I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons:
First because the sizing script should have a 2 minute timeout like many other designers are doing. Items with resizing scripts cause lag. No one can argue with this, it just happens. Even if you are not actively resizing the item, the item is waiting for you to do so, which if you have enough items like this, will cause lag. Some other very smart designers have scripted in a "cutoff" in their resizing scripts so that if you do not start to resize the item in 2 minutes, the script goes inactive and thus eliminates the lag issue. If you decide you need to resize the item, all you would have to do is take it off and put it back on which would start the 2 minute timer again. This is how resizable items should be scripted.
My second issue is the price. All of Abraxxa stuff is very expensive. You do pay for what you get, but in this case it’s still a little too much. If Abraxxa's items had the script cutoff like other designers are using, then EarthStones prices would be marked up around 20% to expensive. Not including the script cutoff, they are 30-40% overpriced when compared to other really great SL clothes designers.
Again, the belt and other EarthStone products are all amazingly done. With a minor script change they would be perfect; I just wish they would come down on those prices a little so people could buy more of their stuff. You can pick up an entire 12 piece, incredibly well done outfit elsewhere for the extremely reasonable price of 1200 L; which is why 300 L for just a belt is way too much.
