| Sword / Weapon / Lefty / Righty
Note from the developer:
| The Left and Right Handed Heroic Longsword is a new standard for Echelon melee weapons! This sword comes with both left and right handed variants as the name implies. That means a full AO and randomized attack animations in either hand you choose! They both also come with unique model variants as well including basic recolor-able silver, single glowing gem, and a gem / blade glow combo. Also included some mythril and gold recolors for example. And for those that don't know, you can drag the contents of the basic no glow scripts into your inventory, then drag them into any slicey weapon you own to make it function like these, making this a great starter kit for your favorite weapons.
Instructions:
| Unpack
| Attach a left or right handed variant
| Recolor as desired
| Use included gestures to draw / sling
| Click in mouselook while drawn to swing the sword
| Looking good!

Overall model is well made and the mesh is solid, that said the scripts might not be 'all' they are made out to be it is still a nice weapon and worth buying.
All that aside my only complaint is that I wish the left-handed sword came with a sheath of its own for when you are dual-wielding the weapons rather than simply using just one.
Good looking model, not super script heavy, but...
Good looking model, isn't super script heavy and it is modifiable except for the script (which makes sense). Really great things.
That said and out of the way, I was disappointed to find that the left handed sword doesn't have left handed fighting animations. The way it was advertised, I thought the swords would be setup to be wielded just left, just right, or dual. Instead the left handed one has attack animations that swing your right hand around, and the walk animation in it is clearly meant for holding a sword in your right hand, not your left.
Mind, the script only works to swing in mouselook, so in order to really see the animations you have to root around in the weapon's guts and preview them using SL's preview animation tools. Which isn't super hard but yeah.
Still I'll probably use it when I need a medieval style one handed sword prop and just rip the scripts out entirely.
